Announcements
Drone Use
For your information, the Taylorsville City Police Department may utilize drones during the Taylorsville Dayzz activities.
Drone usage will help officers in maintaining overall safety and security, assist in locating missing children, and manage any emergency that should arise.
Security Update
Additional security measures also have been added this year following the tragic events that occurred at West Valley City’s WestFest. The main adjustment is to the hours of operation for the large, adult carnival rides.
Those rides will now close at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The change will allow police officers more time to disperse crowds in advance of the fireworks, and limit large gatherings of young adults and teens before it gets dark at nightfall. See more information from Taylorsville City.
